Rejuran

Rejuran is an injectable skin rejuvenation treatment, and it¡¯s now approved and available for Australia after years of popularity and success in Asia, particularly South Korea.

It is a gel formation of Polynucletide for dermal rejuvenation made of wild salmon DNA fragments. Unlike hyaluronic acid skin boosters, Rejuran consists of bio-active DNA molecules that stimulate regeneration and repair damaged skin while reducing unwanted inflammation.

Rejuran is injected into the dermis layer of the skin using micro-injections to stimulate the fibroblasts to produce collagen.

Key Benefits of Rejuran:

  1. Stimulates Collagen Production:Rejuran boosts collagen production in the skin, leading to firmer, more youthful-looking skin.
  2. Improves Skin Texture:Rejuran smoothes out fine lines, wrinkles, and other imperfections, resulting in a more radiant complexion.
  3. Enhances Skin Elasticity:By promoting skin regeneration, Rejuran helps improve skin elasticity and firmness, reducing sagging and promoting a more lifted appearance.
  4. Reduces Pigmentation:Rejuran helps to fade dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and other skin discolorations, resulting in a more even-toned complexion.

What does Rejuran treatment involve?

Patients are requested to arrive at their appointment free of makeup, moisturiser and sunscreen. An anaesthetic cream is then applied to the treatment area.

Rejuran is administered by the practitioner to the treatment area using micro injections to ensure even distribution within the upper layers of the skin.

Typical procedure lasts 30 – 60 minutes.

How long before I see results?

Results can be seen as early as the first two weeks, however it takes 3-6 months for maximal collagen remodelling to occur.

A series of 2-4 sessions, spaced 3-6 weeks apart is recommended for best results.

1-2 sessions are required every year to top up your collagen levels, via continued stimulation of fibroblasts (collagen producing cells).

What is the downtime for Rejuran treatment?

The downtime for Rejuran treatment can vary among individuals, but many are able to resume their normal activities shortly after the procedure.

Due to the micro-injection points, there may be some redness and visible bumps. These usually subside within 24 to 48 hours.

Although rare, there may be some bruising due the puncturing of the skin.

However, the exact duration of downtime can vary among individuals, and it is influenced by factors such as individual skin sensitivity, the specific technique used, and any additional treatments performed simultaneously.

Please note it is recommended to have at least 2 sessions 4 weeks apart for best results. Each session of 2ml is $899, if you book 2 sessions in advance it will cost $1699
